This limited-edition bourbon starts with fully matured Maker’s Mark® at cask strength, which is then finished with ten virgin toasted American oak staves, known as Stave Profile RC6. These staves were developed over two years in partnership with Independent Stave Company, seasoned outdoors for 18 months, and toasted in a convection oven to enhance the bourbon's fruit-forward characteristics. Bottled at 108.2 proof (54.1% ABV), this expression offers a rich and complex flavor profile. The nose presents inviting aromas of baking spices, cinnamon, clove, gingerbread, wheat, soft apricot, red apple, and a touch of ripe banana. On the palate, you'll discover sweet and pleasant notes characteristic of a wheated bourbon, with bolder spice and red fruits, including red apple and raspberry, followed by tannins and baking spices that mellow into dessert tones like caramel and toffee, finishing with a touch of chocolate-covered banana.
