Highland Park 54 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the distillery's oldest and most exclusive release to date, with only 225 bottles produced. This exceptional whisky was distilled in 1968 and matured in a combination of refill butts and hogsheads, before being re-casked into first-fill European sherry butts in 2008 for further aging. Bottled at 46.9% ABV, it offers a deep amber hue and a complex aroma profile featuring exotic lychee, aromatic camphor, vintage oak, and delicate peat. The palate reveals warm spices, including crushed cumin and coriander seeds, which give way to fragrant notes of summer rose, jasmine, honeyed kiwi fruit, and pistachio biscotti. The finish is sweet and spicy, with woody notes transitioning to a lingering whisper of sweet fenugreek and heathery peat smoke. Each bottle is presented in a bespoke oak wood box, crafted to reflect the natural beauty of Orkney's rugged cliffs.
